Anatomy of Veins in the Leg

   


Remember veins take blood back to the heart.

There are two main types of veins in your leg.

Superficial veins: - these are the veins under the skin and are more easily seen when standing up.

Deep veins: - these are within the muscles of the leg and cannot be seen.
